MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM 00: INTRODUCTION

The year is 2307 A.D. Although fossil fuels have been depleted, humanity has obtained a new source of energy to replace them, in the form of a large-scale solar power generation system based on three huge orbital elevators. However, the benefits of this system are available only to a handful of major powers and their allies.

The three orbital elevators belong to three superpower blocs. These are the Union, led by the United States of America; the Human Reform League, led by China, Russia, and India; and the AEU, led by Europe. These superpower blocs continue to play a grand zero-sum game for the sake of their own prestige and prosperity. Thus, even in the 24th Century, humanity has yet to come together as one.

In this world of never-ending conflict, a private armed organization appears, dedicated to the elimination of war through armed force. Its name is Celestial Being, and it is in possession of "Gundam" mobile suits. With these Gundams, it begins armed intervention into all acts of war.

Episode 1

EPISODE 1: CELESTIAL BEINGTOP

At a military testing ground near its orbital elevator, the AEU is conducting a demonstration of its new Enact mobile suit. Among the audience are ace pilot Graham Aker and engineer Billy Katagiri of the Union forces. Suddenly, a white mobile suit descends from the sky and swiftly destroys the Enact. This intruder is the Gundam Exia, piloted by a young Gundam Meister codenamed Setsuna F Seiei, and its appearance marks the beginning of Celestial Being's first mission.

Three more Gundam Meisters now make their entrances. Lockon Stratos and his Gundam Dynames provide fire support for Setsuna's escape, while Allelujah Haptism's Gundam Kyrios and Tieria Erde's Gundam Virtue protect the Human Reform League's orbital elevator from a terrorist attack. With the completion of its first mission, Celestial Being releases a video statement announcing its intentions. But who is the mysterious man who claims to represent the organization?

Episode 2

EPISODE 2: GUNDAM MEISTERSTOP

As the world reacts with confusion to Celestial Being's announcement, the Gundam Meisters prepare for a second mission which will clarify their intentions. While Allelujah and Tieria descend from space, Setsuna and Lockon make contact with the Celestial Being agent Wang Liu-Mei, and all four Gundam Meisters then join forces for an armed intervention on the island of Ceylon.

For more than 300 years, Ceylon has been wracked with ethnic conflict between the Sinhalese majority and the Tamil minority. The Human Reform League has been supporting the Tamil faction to ensure the security of its own solar power supply. Now Celestial Being steps in, as the Gundams carry out an intervention against both sides in the conflict.

Episode 3

EPISODE 3: THE CHANGING WORLDTOP

The Union ace pilot Graham Aker confronts Setsuna as he leaves Ceylon. Graham's Union Flag mobile suit proves to be no match for Setsuna's Gundam, but he returns from battle to learn that he and Billy Katagiri have been reassigned to a new anti-Gundam investigative taskforce. In Tokyo, the news reporter Kinue Crossroad begins her own investigation, identifying Celestial Being's spokesman as the legendary inventor Aeolia Schenberg... a man who died more than 200 years earlier.

Celestial Being begins its third mission. While Tieria and the Virtue return to space, the other Meisters conduct simultaneous interventions at three different points on Earth, and Setsuna is sent to eliminate the remaining Human Reform League forces on the island of Ceylon. Here he encounters another formidable new opponent in the form of veteran officer Sergei Smirnov, the dreaded Wild Bear of Russia.

EPISODE 4: INTERNATIONAL NEGOTIATIONTOP

Episode 4

The Human Reform League holds a memorial service for the soldiers whose lives were lost in the recent interventions, and reaffirms its opposition to Celestial Being. Sergei Smirnov is placed in command of a new team whose mission is to eliminate the Gundams. The team's trump card is a young woman who introduces herself as Soma Peries, Super Soldier Number 1.

An international crisis begins as the South American nation of Taribia declares its independence from the Union. In the Kingdom of Azadistan, a struggling Middle Eastern nation, Princess Royal Marina Ismail anxiously watches the crisis unfold. The fate of her own homeland, Marina realizes, may depend on the way in which Celestial Being responds to this dilemma.

Episode 5

EPISODE 5: ESCAPE LIMIT ZONETOP

Princess Marina leaves Azadistan and begins a worldwide diplomatic tour to seek help for her impoverished nation. Meanwhile, Kinue Crossroad's younger brother Saji travels into space via the Human Reform League's orbital elevator for an educational study tour. Saji is accompanied by his fellow student Louise Halevy, who seems to view this field trip as a romantic vacation.

The Human Reform League begins a performance test of the Tieren Taozi, an experimental mobile suit designed exclusively for the super soldier Soma Peries. Celestial Being sends Allelujah to observe the performance test, but he and Soma react strangely to each other's presence. When Soma loses control and opens fire on the nearby low orbital station, Saji and Louise find themselves in deadly danger.

EPISODE 6: SEVEN SWORDSTOP

Episode 6

Celestial Being's activities have reduced the level of conflict in the world, but there are some who do not welcome this change. Among them is the southern European nation of Moralia, whose economy is based on the arms industry and on private military companies (PMCs). The AEU, whose space development program depends on technological assistance from the PMCs, decides to hold a joint military exercise with Moralia as a show of support.

Celestial Being prepares to intervene in this joint exercise. The crew of their mothership Ptolemaios descend to Earth to supervise the mission, while Setsuna and Lockon receive new weapons for their Gundams. As the Gundam Meisters go into battle against a combined AEU, Moralia, and PMC force of more than a hundred mobile suits, Setsuna unexpectedly encounters a familiar adversary.

Episode 7

EPISODE 7: UNREWARDED SOULSTOP

During Celestial Being's intervention in Moralia, Setsuna has been reunited with a figure from his past. His opponent is the mercenary soldier Ali al-Saachez, the same man who once trained Setsuna as a child soldier. Recklessly, Setsuna opens his Gundam's cockpit to confirm his enemy's identity.

Despite this unexpected turn of events, the Gundam Meisters complete their intervention and force the Moralian forces to surrender. Celestial Being tactical forecaster Sumeragi Lee Noriega is troubled by the knowledge that this mission has cost hundreds of military and civilian lives, and more lives are soon lost as a worldwide series of terror attacks begins in response to Celestial Being's activities.

EPISODE 8: INDISCRIMINATE RETALIATIONTOP

Episode 8

An international terror network has begun a campaign of bombing attacks in order to force Celestial Being to halt its armed interventions. While Wang Liu-Mei and Celestial Being's other agents investigate this network, the Ptolemaios crew watch anxiously from the sidelines, and the Gundam Meisters are placed on standby to respond to new attacks.

Princess Marina's diplomatic tour has now brought her to Scotland, where she encounters Setsuna in the aftermath of another terror attack. Marina is pleased to meet someone else from Azadistan, but Setsuna tells her that he is actually from the Krugis Republic which was conquered by her nation, and reveals his identity as a Gundam Meister. Meanwhile, the AEU and Union intelligence agencies provide Celestial Being with information on the terror network, allowing the Gundam Meisters to go into action against the terrorists.

Episode 9

EPISODE 9: THE HONOR OF A GREAT POWERTOP

Four months have now passed since Celestial Being began its armed interventions. The initial chaos has subsided, and life goes on. Louise Halevy's mother visits Tokyo to urge her daughter to come home to Spain, Kinue Crossroad continues her investigation of the mysterious Aeolia Schenberg, and United Nations ambassador Alejandro Corner promises to aid Azadistan by connecting it to the solar power network. Even the AEU and the Union seem to have reconciled themselves to the existence of Celestial Being, but the Human Reform League is still determined to eliminate it.

The Human Reform League launches an operation to track down the Celestial Being mothership Ptolemaios. Sergei Smirnov and his Chobu special forces team deploy huge numbers of tiny probes in Earth orbit, enabling them to detect the communications blackouts caused by the Gundams and their mothership. Sergei and Sumeragi match wits in a series of tactical feints, and Sumeragi realizes too late that the enemy's true objective is the capture of the Gundams themselves.

Episode 10

EPISODE 10: OPERATION GUNDAM CAPTURETOP

In Earth orbit, Sergei's mobile suit team continues its attack on the Ptolemaios and the Gundam Meisters. While Setsuna and Lockon defend their mothership, Allelujah and Tieria find themselves caught in the enemy's trap. Allelujah, overwhelmed by the quantum brainwaves of the super soldier Soma Peries, loses consciousness and is captured by the enemy forces.

Sergei and Soma attempt to capture Tieria as well, trapping his Gundam Virtue with grappling wires. In order to escape, Tieria is forced to jettison the Virtue's outer armor and reveal its true form as the Gundam Nadleeh. Meanwhile, Allelujah's ruthless alternate personality awakens, and begins brutally exterminating the enemy pilots. Sergei is forced to retreat, but the Gundam Meisters are disturbed by their failings, and Sumeragi curses herself for her tactical mistakes.

EPISODE 11: ALLELUJAHTOP

In the aftermath of the orbital battle, the Human Reform League's scientists realize that one of the Gundam Meisters is actually a former test subject of their own Superhuman Institute. Allelujah, meanwhile, has learned that the institute is still in operation. He decides to destroy it in order to erase his own terrible past, and prepares a mission plan to present to Sumeragi.

With Sumeragi's approval, Allelujah begins an armed intervention against the Superhuman Institute. He enters a Human Reform League space colony and targets the institute itself, but finds himself hesitating at the last moment. As Allelujah struggles against himself, his vicious alternate personality Hallelujah urges him to pull the trigger and eliminate his fellow super soldiers.

EPISODE 12: TO THE LIMITS OF HOLY TEACHINGSTOP

Although Princess Marina has secured assistance from the United Nations for her troubled homeland, the Kingdom of Azadistan is still in turmoil. A dispute over the introduction of solar power has brought the country's conservative and reformist factions to the brink of civil war. Now that the conservative leader Massoud Rachmadi has been kidnapped by unknown forces, Azadistan is about to descend into chaos.

Azadistan's reformist faction turns to the Union for military assistance, and Celestial Being dispatches Setsuna and Lockon to investigate the situation. While Setsuna attempts to gather information in civilian disguise, Lockon keeps watch over the solar receiver antennas, in case the rebels attempt to destroy them. However, the facility is being targeted by the man who has orchestrated all this chaos, the mercenary soldier Ali al-Saachez.

EPISODE 13: RETURN OF THE SAINTTOP

Setsuna's actions have prevented a coup d'etat in the Kingdom of Azadistan, but the conservative leader Massoud Rachmadi remains missing, and the situation continues to worsen. In order to find out who is behind the crisis, Setsuna visits the site of the solar antenna facility, where he encounters the Union ace pilot Graham Aker.

Thanks to Graham's information, Setsuna realizes that the attack on the antennas was the work of Ali al-Saachez. Drawing on memories of his time as a child soldier under al-Saachez's command, Setsuna guesses where the kidnapped Massoud Rachmadi is being held, and Wang Liu-Mei launches a rescue mission. Through their efforts to resolve the crisis, the Celestial Being members demonstrate their ideals to the world.

Episode 14

EPISODE 14: DAWN OF DETERMINATIONTOP

The three superpower blocs begin planning a massive joint military exercise which will serve as a challenge to Celestial Being. Although they recognize this as an obvious trap, the Gundam Meisters have no choice but to respond with an armed intervention, and the Ptolemaios crew descend to Earth to supervise this dangerous mission. Sumeragi takes the opportunity to meet with her old friend Billy Katagiri, who confirms that the military exercise is a scheme to capture the Gundams.

The superpower blocs ready their forces for the upcoming operation. Graham Aker assumes command of the Union's elite Over Flags taskforce, Sergei Smirnov and Soma Peries prepare for action, and AEU ace pilot Patrick Colasour meets his new commander, an expert tactician named Kati Mannequin. In Tokyo, meanwhile, Saji Crossroad and Louise Halevy continue their everyday lives, blissfully unaware of the coming conflict.

Episode 15

EPISODE 15: BROKEN WINGSTOP

The Union, Human Reform League, and AEU begin their joint military exercise in the Taklamakan Desert. A nearby uranium storage facility has been left undefended as bait for terrorists, and when Celestial Being intervenes to defend the facility, the combined armies of the three superpower blocs attack the Gundams with overwhelming force.

Despite the overwhelming odds, the Gundams weather the attacks of the enemy armies, but after fifteen hours their human pilots are reaching the limits of their endurance. Suddenly the rain of missiles stops, and the Meisters attempt to escape the battlefield. But the enemy forces have devised careful plans to capture the Gundams, and one by one the fleeing Meisters fall into their traps.

EPISODE 16: TRINITYTOP

On the brink of defeat, the Gundam Meisters have been rescued by the intervention of Celestial Being's second team. Their rescuers identify themselves as Johann, Michael, and Nena Trinity, the Meisters of the mysterious Gundam Thrones. But who are these new

Episode 16
allies, and why was their existence previously unknown to the Ptolemaios crew? And what is the significance of the red GN particles emitted by the Gundam Thrones?

United Nations ambassador Alejandro Corner calls a meeting of his fellow Observers, the secret society that wields a veto over the actions of Celestial Being. Although they have no record of the second team's existence, after reviewing the results of Celestial Being's previous armed interventions, the Observers decide to acknowledge Team Trinity as allies.

Episode 17

EPISODE 17: ASSAULT OF THE THRONESTOP

The Ptolemaios crew return to space for a rendezvous with Team Trinity. When they finally meet the new Gundam Meisters face to face, Setsuna and his comrades are disturbed by their attitude and behavior. Nena flirts with Setsuna, Michael treats the original Meisters with hostility and contempt, and Johann refuses to answer any of their questions, saying only that they share the same goal of eliminating war.

After this awkward meeting, Team Trinity depart the Ptolemaios and begin their own campaign of armed intervention. Their first target is the Union military base that serves as the headquarters of Graham Aker and his Over Flags team, and they destroy it without mercy. Meanwhile, Saji Crossroad bids farewell to Louis Halevy, who is returning to Spain to attend a family wedding.

EPISODE 18: THE AIM OF EVIL INTENTSTOP

Team Trinity continues its campaign of armed intervention. Unlike Setsuna and his comrades, they are targeting military facilities of all kinds and exterminating everyone on the scene, even civilians. The world's leaders are horrified by their actions, and the three superpower blocs wonder if even their combined strength would be enough to defeat the Gundams.

The other members of Celestial Being continue their investigation of the mysterious Team Trinity. The Ptolemaios crew discover that the Gundam Thrones are powered by pseudo solar reactors, apparently based on technology stolen from Veda, Celestial Being's master computer. As word arrives of Team Trinity's latest atrocities, Setsuna decides to respond.

EPISODE 19: BONDSTOP

Having determined that Team Trinity itself is promoting conflict, Setsuna confronts the Gundam Thrones. Tieria comes to his assistance, and the two Gundam Meisters fight as a team for the first time. Tieria detaches the Virtue's outer armor to reveal the Gundam Nadleeh and activates its unique Trial System, which allows him to take control of any machine linked to Veda. But the attempt backfires, confirming that Veda itself has been compromised by Team Trinity and its allies. Johann Trinity orders his siblings to depart, leaving Setsuna's comrades with a shocking piece of information.

At a hospital in Spain, Saji Crossroad parts ways with Louise Halevy, who has lost her entire family and suffered severe injuries in an unprovoked attack by one of the new Gundams. Louise asks Saji to return to school and fulfill his dream of working in space.

EPISODE 20: BLADE OF REFORMATIONTOP

A mysterious benefactor has provided the three superpower blocs with a new weapon against the Gundams. Quickly establishing a military alliance, the superpowers organize an elite fighting force under the aegis of the United Nations. As a result of Celestial Being's actions and the misdeeds of Team Trinity, the nations of the world are now unifying to defeat the Gundams.

Kinue Crossroad, in her ongoing investigation into Celestial Being, has discovered that Team Trinity reports to the linear train corporation president Laguna Harvey. Even as her attempts to interview Harvey lead Kinue into unexpected danger, other players are making their own moves against Celestial Being.

EPISODE 21: PATH OF DESTRUCTIONTOP

The United Nations forces have deployed their new weapon, a mobile suit model known as the GN-X which is powered by a pseudo solar reactor. While Sergei Smirnov and Soma Peries lead a GN-X team in pursuit of the Gundam Thrones, another force made up of Union and AEU pilots attacks the Ptolemaios in space.

Orchestrating all this from behind the scenes is Alejandro Corner, the rogue Observer who has betrayed Celestial Being. Having eliminated his ally Laguna Harvey and provided the United Nations with its powerful new weapons, Alejandro now enters the very core of the supercomputer Veda. With the help of his assistant Ribbons Almark, he forcibly disconnects the Gundams from Veda, leaving them helpless before the assault of the UN forces.

EPISODE 22: TRANS-AMTOP

The United Nations reveals the existence of the GN-X to the world, and announces the launch of a Gundam elimination operation with the code name "Fallen Angels." The operation begins with the renewed pursuit of Team Trinity, who have been forced to abandon their supply base and can now only flee before the enemy's superior numbers. The mercenary soldier Ali al-Saachez approaches the Trinity siblings, presenting himself as an ally, but his true mission is one of assassination.

The Ptolemaios crew are still recovering from their own battle with the UN forces, and Lockon has been partially blinded. But Setsuna is determined to return to Earth and observe the situation for himself. He arrives to find al-Saachez in the process of eliminating Team Trinity with a stolen Gundam Throne, and Setsuna confronts his old nemesis in a ferocious duel of Gundams.

EPISODE 23: STOP THE WORLDTOP

Alejandro Corner and Ribbons Almark have forced their way into the heart of Veda and taken control of Celestial Being's master computer. But their actions have triggered an unexpected programmed response. In a recorded message, Aeolia Schenberg has named the Gundam Meisters as his inheritors and entrusted them with the full power of the GN Drive. Now that the Trans-Am system has been enabled, the Gundams may yet be able to fight off the greater strength of the UN forces.

As Setsuna rushes back to space, a United Nations space fleet launches an all-out attack on the Ptolemaios. Allelujah and Tieria use the new capabilities of their Gundams to hold off the GN-X teams, while the injured Lockon launches an attack on the enemy motherships. But Lockon is intercepted by the relentless Ali al-Saachez, and Setsuna reaches the battlefield just in time to witness the battle's tragic end.

EPISODE 24: ENDLESS POEMTOP

Despite the loss of Lockon, the Ptolemaios crew are united in their determination to keep fighting the United Nations forces. The enemy begins another assault, this time spearheaded by the Alvatore, a giant mobile armor operated by the traitor Alejandro Corner. As Allelujah and Tieria engage the remaining GN-X teams, Setsuna loads the Gundam Exia into an assault container and sets off to eliminate Alejandro's mobile armor.

While Setsuna struggles in vain to pierce the Alvatore's protective GN Field, the enemy mobile armor bombards his comrades with its powerful long-range particle beam. As the other Gundams are damaged in the crossfire, and the Ptolemaios suffers a series of devastating hits, it seems that Celestial Being has reached the end of its path to destruction.

EPISODE 25: SETSUNATOP

The Celestial Being mothership Ptolemaios has been destroyed, and most of the Gundams are damaged beyond repair. Yet Setsuna continues his desperate fight against the overwhelming power of Alejandro Corner's mobile armor and the final weapon hidden within it. One last enemy, however, is waiting for him in the darkness of space.

The final battle is over, and a new world is about to be born from this destruction. But what kind of world have Setsuna and his comrades created? Years later, the true form of this world reformation will become apparent, and a new Gundam will appear on the stage...
